Play stations?

Well there’s not much point in having a blog if you don’t fill it with a little crap every now and again.
With the population getting hit by influenza and other nasty bugs, It is understandable that there have been less of us bloggers posting in the past few weeks. Blogging is a rather strange thing to do actually. There are far more productive things that we could be doing, such as sleeping, spending time with our partners or any other number of physical activities to engage our minds and stimulate the old body.
Well today might be the beginning of the end for what little physical exercise we do get as a family... You see today my DW bought a Playstation thingie. Now you’re probably thinking no big deal right? But all this kiddie technology stuff is new to me: Well, not exactly new, but different to what I remember it when I was a young chap.

You see when I was a youngster, the game console hooked up to the TV aerial socket with this funky little switch box and broadcast in glorious mono audio. The game it played was a variation of pong... Yeah you know the wired paddle controllers that moved the little sticks up and down or left to right as you tried to hit the white dot that came toward your bat? It was surprisingly alluring, but really crap at the same time. Well I have discovered that nothing has really changed in game consoles. They are still pretty crap and waste as much time as they always did. But there are occasionally games that have good replay value. All I need to do is find one that we can all play as a family.
