It Never Rains...

The following photos are my own observations, but the photo above tells it all. My photos are almost a week after the peak of flooding.
This is the Entrance at Lakes Entrance (obviously). Of interest is the unusual discolouration of the inlet, due to the rapid outflow of nutrient rich river water from the catchment areas. If you compare the photos of the Lakes Entrance from my previous posts, you will see the difference. The real tradgedy of it all, is the fact that the worst hit areas were only just starting to recover from bushfire earlier this year.

It never rains, but it floods. Believe it or not, this home was once much bigger and quite a way further upriver too. It was not anchored to its stumps yet and was a major mitigating factor in it's 'relocation' between Wy Yung and Bairnsdale.
